Youth Outreach Services

Provided by Hornby Denman Health

Provides free, confidential, and community-based one-to-one support and information on healthy relationships and lifestyles to youths.
The program operates from a non-judgmental, harm-reduction approach and provides a positive, supportive space for LGBTQ2SIA+ youth. Programs and services are designed to promote inclusion, safety, and connection.

Services include:
  • Youth groups and summer camps,
  • Teen night drop-ins,
  • Youth workshops and community education events,
  • Reconnecting with family, school, culture or community,
  • Provide sexual health info (plus free condoms), speak with youth about healthy relationships, and teach awareness on sexual exploitation issues,
  • Supports youth who are struggling with school or relationship challenges
  • Connect youth to community resources (on or off-island) and healthy activities: Help connect islanders with Foundry Comox Valley, Courtenay's youth hub for health and mental health, and other services and support.
